Elegant and space-saving storage

Built-in appliances are increasing in popularity. The kitchen has long since advanced to become a social meeting place and status symbol. This starts with kitchen furniture and ends with the equipment. The modern kitchen should be easy to tidy up, multifunctional, and practical. ritter's built-in and foldable food slicers can disappear very easily in the kitchen drawer, they are space-saving and immediately ready to use. We offer built-in solutions for food slicers with a swivel- or foldable mechanism and as high-mount version. The built-in food slicer can be stored in the drawer providing more space on the kitchen worktop. A truly efficient kitchen built-in-system!

The different versions of our built-in food slicers

For slim kitchen drawers
If you only have little space or few worktops in your kitchen, the smallest built-in food slicer from ritter - for slim kitchen drawers - is the ideal choice. This practical space-saver can be folded open and folded away again in just two simple steps. It can be removed without any tools, allowing easy cleaning.
For standard kitchen drawers
All the other built-in food slicers (except E 118Einbau) can be installed in a kitchen drawer with a cabinet width of 45 cm or more. This makes them space-saving, protected against dust, dirt and grease, and easy to put away. An optimum installation solution that creates space on the worktop and ensures convenient use with its straightforward fold away and fold out mechanism.
Special solutions for handle-free kitchens and extra thick worktops
We have a solution for handle-free kitchens or extra thick worktops: Built-in food slicers with a high-mount bracket, labelled with a "-H" at the end of the device designation. The high-mount bracket ensures that the appliance swings out of the drawer at a higher level when it is unfolded, and the carriage therefore clears the worktop.
For swivel mechanisms
A built-in food slicer which is easy to store in a floor cabinet because of its swivel mechanism, and which is ready to use again on the worktop by just pulling up the swivel system. The built-in food slicer E 118Einbau is small and compact, and with its left-sided slicing guidance, it isn’t just suitable for left-handed users.
Food sliced from left or right
The slicing guidance on the left-hand side is a design-based alternative to the right-sided slicing guidance, if this doesn't fit into the kitchen because of space limitations. Examples of this are when the built-in food slicer is installed adjacent to a worktop angle or a tall kitchen cabinet.
Schneidgutführung rechts
The slicing guidance on the right-hand side is a design-based alternative to the left-sided slicing guidance, if this doesn't fit into the kitchen because of space limitations. Examples of this are when the built-in food slicer is installed adjacent to a worktop angle or a tall kitchen cabinet.

Different circular blades for our built-in food slicers

The slicing result highly depends on the polish, the shaping and the quality of the circular blade. Therefore, ritter offers a variety of circular blades with different slicing features for perfect slicing.

Standard serrated circular blade

The regular standard circular blade made of stainless steel is suited for every-day use. The serrated circular blade is well suited for all kinds of slicing of hard and soft food.

Standard ham- and sausage circular blade

The regular standard circular blade made of stainless steel is suited for every-day use. This smooth ham- and sausage circular blade does evenly cut off thin slices from soft food in particular.

Serrated circular blade with electropolished surface

The serrated circular blade made of stainless steel has been polished electrolytically by a special procedure, resulting in an extremely smooth surface and even slicing edge.

Ham- and sausage circular blade with electropolished surface

The smooth ham- and sausage circular blade made of stainless steel has been polished electrolytically by a special procedure, resulting in an extremely smooth surface and even slicing edge.

Ham- and sausage circular blade with non-sticking coating

The blade made of stainless steel has been refined with a non-sticking coating. The sticking of soft food, such as cheese, is being reduced by the non-stick method of the coating.

MANUFACTURE

Made in Germany - since 1905

We stand out in particular because all of our household appliances - whether food slicers or peelers, our high-quality breakfast line consisting of toasters, kettles and coffee machines, our cordless hand blender or our built-in appliances - continue to be produced exclusively in Germany. “made in Germany” is firmly anchored in our business philosophy. The production of household appliances here at our facility in Gröbenzell near Munich means far more to us than just preserving and creating jobs. High quality standards, the right materials for form and use, and functional design are at the core of our business and the associated tradition of the Bauhaus movement of the 1920s.

Frequently asked questions about our built-in food slicers

Do you have any questions about our built-in food slicers? We will be pleased to answer them for you here in advance. If you are unable to find a satisfactory or complete answer to your question, please do not hesitate to contact us.

The built-in food slicer can be fitted in kitchen drawers that have a width of 45 cm or more and/or with a width of 50 cm or over (“-H” high-mount version). Please take note of the installation requirements: clear width of the drawer and the distance from the bottom of the drawer to the upper edge of the worktop. The precise dimensions or installation requirements are provided with the respective appliance.
In order to mount a built-in food slicer, it is necessary to comply with the following requirements: - Dimensions of the kitchen drawer + appliance - Loading capacity of the kitchen drawer (min. 30 kg) - An appropriate power supply/socket must be available - The respective design of the kitchen (handle-free, etc.) - The correct positioning of the appliance
Built-in food slicers are connected to a surface-mounted power socket at all times which must be available in or behind the rear panel at the drawer level.
When the food slicer is folded out, moving the appliance in the lengthwise direction shouldn’t be possible, i.e. the buffer screw, which is situated at the rear of the appliance, should rest against the front edge of the worktop without clearance. To adjust the food slicer, turn the buffer screw until it rests slightly against the front edge of the worktop (do not overtighten it!).
The BFS 62 from ritterwerk is available with both right-sided slicing guidance and left-sided slicing guidance. Please note that these designs are not specifically for right- or left-hand operation, but alternative designs if the food slicer is to be mounted adjacent to an angled worktop or a tall kitchen cabinet, for example.
Time-consuming preparation, tidying up and putting away in kitchen cabinet is no longer necessary with built-in appliances, as the built-in food slicers are kept in the kitchen drawer to save space. Built-in appliances are also easy to use and maintain – especially as they are protected against greasy kitchen fumes and dirt in the drawer.
Built-in food slicers are connected to a surface-mounted power socket which must be available in or behind the rear panel at the drawer level. The length of the power cord is optimised so that it hangs loosely between the rear panel of the drawer and the rear panel of the cabinet. Power cord routing is not possible due to the different designs of kitchen cabinet.
Yes, the built-in food slicer can also be fitted in an internal drawer, as long as the dimensions and, in particular, the distance between the bottom of the drawer and the top edge of the worktop are appropriate.
The built-in food slicer has to be fitted in the top drawer. To be able to cut big pieces of food without undue limitation, the base plate of the appliance has to be higher than the worktop.
Yes, the built-in food slicer can also be installed in drawers with a metal base. To do this, however, the screws supplied have to be replaced with metric screws and secured to the underside of the base panel of the drawer with nuts.
A variety of combinations are possible with our built-in appliances, as long as the internal dimensions of the drawer allow it.
If the height of the drawer isn’t sufficient, it may be possible to replace the existing wooden beam in the cabinet with a metal beam. This will give you approx. 14 mm more height in the drawer.
If the installation requirements regarding the installation dimensions and load-bearing capacity of the drawer are fulfilled, installation on a pull-out shelf is also possible.
The question of whether the existing drill holes can be used depends on the design of the kitchen as regards the worktop overhang etc. If necessary, however, the drill holes will have to be relocated.
Yes, it is possible, BUT the built-in food slicer can only be used with restrictions, because large pieces of food cannot be cut as a whole in such a way. The food would have to be cut into portions beforehand so that it doesn’t touch the oven.
Built-in appliances are sold and distributed exclusively via the kitchen furnishings industry or specialist retailers for kitchen products. The built-in appliances have to be installed by qualified personnel (kitchen fitter, joiner, etc.).
No, it isn’t possible to deactivate this mechanism. For safety reasons, the position “0” is designed as a blade cover.
The built-in food slicers have different lengths of power cord. On average, however, each power cord is roughly 90 cm in length.
The length of the power cord is optimised so that it hangs loosely between the rear panel of the drawer and the rear panel of the cabinet. This ensures that the power cord doesn’t get caught anywhere.
